Take Employee Engagement To The Next Level With Career Coaching

I’m very excited to now offer career coaching within organizations as an enhancement to your company’s Employee Value Proposition. I’ve learned through my extensive HR Leadership experience that employee engagement is both critical to the bottom line and top of mind for business leaders. We know that “investing in our people” improves engagement to an extent, but the current HR practices are limited in scope as they don’t consider the whole person. I have created a unique and innovative career coaching solution for organizations, which is based on both my extensive HR leadership experience and career development coaching expertise.

My framework for career coaching within organizations goes beyond “people development”, by accomplishing the following:

  1. Gain clarity about which challenges in the world the employee ultimately wants to solve through their work. Starting at a macro level helps the employee consider all their options, rather than just what’s in their current scope of work

  2. Extensive analysis of the employees’ skills, personality, interests, values, and strengths. This deep dive into the employees’ needs and motivators using my counselling skills, self-awareness exercises and assessments gives the employees insight into themselves and how to be more fulfilled and connected to their work

  3. Identify “what’s missing” and “what’s working” in a simple, yet insightful way. The employees can then discuss their new self-awareness with their Managers which allows for a deeper connection between work and the employee

  4. Discussion with HR about the employees’ preferred type of work and the needs of the company, decision about how to proceed ensuring the two are aligned

  5. Using the input from HR and our findings from the career coaching, create the employees’ career vision

  6. Using the employees’ career vision, create a career development plan which includes a gap analysis of their competencies, training, education and mentorship

  7. Develop strategic goals/intentions and an action plan to ensure the career development plan is both attainable and connected to the employees’ career vision

This career coaching within your organization creates:

  • Greater employee engagement and retention, resulting in increased profit

  • Enhanced and more meaningful relationship between an employee and their Manager

  • Alignment with the work being performed, thereby reducing stress and anxiety and improved feelings of general well-being

  • Improved performance as the employees are leveraging all aspects of themselves and are showing up to work as their true self

  • Awareness about the opportunity for greater work/life balance, allowing the employee to set personal goals resulting in better mental health

  • Clarity around “what’s working” and “what’s missing” to give the company the opportunity to fill the void before the employee decides to leave or disengage
